In keeping with its continued emphasis on Mother and Child Health (MCH), the State administration chose to make the KCR Nutritional Kit available to all expectant mothers in its annual budget for 2023–24.
Hyderabad: The State government has decided to expand the KCR Nutritional Kit to all expectant mothers in all 33 districts as part of its ongoing commitment to Mother and Child Health (MCH) in its annual budget for 2023–24.
The State government has proposed allocating Rs. 200 crore for the following year to implement the KCR Nutritional Kit programme, which will assist approximately 4 lakh pregnant women in Telangana.
The State government has suggested in the yearly budget to broaden the idea of Basthi Dawakhanas by opting to introduce them in all of Telangana’s towns.
In order to do this, 100 additional urban healthcare facilities will be built.
A total of Rs. 12,161 crore has been proposed for the Medical and Health Department in the budget for 2023–24.
