These will comprise more than 50% of the EWS category. These flats, which are dispersed around Mumbai and fall into the LIG, MIG, and HIG classifications, will be between 300 and 600 square feet in size.
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is prepared to sell more than 4,000 affordable apartments in Mumbai via lottery after an absence of more than four years. The announcement is anticipated for this month, and the drawing is anticipated for February 2023.
More than half of these residences are anticipated to belong to the economically disadvantaged population (EWS).
Apartments will be auctioned by lottery for all income groups, including low-income group (LIG), middle-income group (MIG), and high-income group (HIG), according to a senior MHADA official who declined to be identified.
Added he, “Across categories, the flats will range in size from over 300 square feet to over 600 square feet. Although it is still up for debate, the cost will likely be established within the next several days. While the flats for the other categories will be dispersed throughout south, central, and suburban Mumbai, the EWS apartments will be located, among other places, in Goregaon.”
The flats will have easy access to public transit, as well as adjacent colleges, hospitals, and schools.
The lottery will be announced soon, and everything about it will be done online.
