The more “keechad” (mud) you throw, the better the lotus would flourish, PM Modi told the opposition lawmakers.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took aim at the opposition in his remarks on the motion of thanks to the President’s Address in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. He said that the more the opposition attacks the BJP, the more the lotus will blossom.
“I want to inform these MPs (MPs from the opposition)…
that the lotus would grow more beautifully if you throw more “keechad” (dirt),” stated PM Modi.
According to PM Modi, 48 crore Jan Dhan accounts have been established nationwide in the past nine years, and 11 crore dwellings have received connections to potable drinking tap water in the previous three to four years.
The opposition MPs shouted abuse at Adani and the Prime Minister as the PM was speaking.
The leader of the opposition, Mallikarjun Kharge, criticized the central government on Wednesday for wanting the joint parliamentary committee to look into the Adani matter.
Kharge declared, “The Adani controversy should be investigated by a joint parliamentary committee… Create a JPC after the government has no reason to be frightened.
