The actor has parts she’d want to play, including a warrior princess in a costume drama and the cinematic star Madhubala
The star of “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” Yami Gautam, has roles like playing the film legend Madhubala and a warrior princess in a costume drama on her dream list. The actor, who gained notoriety after making her acting debut in “Vicky Donor,” has received appreciation for her work in the films “Kaabil,” “Badlapur,” “Bala,” and “A Thursday.”
“I think there are a lot of (roles), but one thing I want to achieve in life is… I adore historical plays. In an interview, Gautam stated, “I would want to portray the character of a warrior princess one day.
When asked about her ideal biopic role, she responded that Madhubala would be her first choice. “I once remarked that, given the option, I would adore playing Madhubala Ji in a biopic. She is still a symbol. I can think of two or three persons after Madhubala Ji. However, I would prefer to sign first before we discuss any roles (sic),” she continued.
For ZEE5, Gautam, 34, was in Kolkata to promote the film “Lost,” directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. The artist claimed that rather than concentrating on the platform, she searches for fascinating opportunities.
Initially, I am an actor. My responsibility is to seek out the greatest possibilities I can. There is no distinction between OTT and big-screen productions in my opinion. Choosing the platform on which the film is created is the producer’s choice, and whether the film is on OTT or the big screen, I am performing my role as an actor.
In regards to the 2019 comedy “Bala,” which also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, she remarked, “‘Bala’ was the last of my releases in theatres and they found their audiences. Aditya Dhar, the director of her film “Uri,” and Gautam, who is married to him, talked about creative ideas as colleagues.
“I am glad when he is pleased with the work I did. He is, of course, my husband, but he is also a successful director, and I eagerly await his feedback. So, yes, we do share ideas, she added.
She stated that the action-comedy “Dhoom Dhaam” is one of Dhar’s next projects as a writer and producer. She explained, “I made that movie; it’s a comedy, and (it’s) totally different from ‘Lost.
Gautam portrays a reporter who investigates crime in “Lost.” She has come to Kolkata to find someone.
