On Monday, a MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in the vicinity of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. The airplane had departed from Suratgarh. Unfortunately, the incident resulted in the loss of three civilian lives, including two women and a man, as the aircraft crashed into a residential building in the Bahlolnagar district of Hanumangarh. The rescue operation is currently underway, according to SP Sudhir Chaudhary. However, the pilot managed to eject safely from the plane, only suffering minor injuries.
The Indian Air Force has stated that the crash occurred during a routine training sortie, and an inquiry has been initiated to determine the root cause of the accident. The IAF also confirmed that the pilot had survived the incident and sustained minor injuries.
