The Karnataka Assembly election result came in favor of Congress party which emerged as the single-largest party. This left the BJP and JD(S) in utter shock. Janata Dal’s Kumaraswamy, who has been daydreaming about a hung assembly and bagging the CM post, left with merger 19 assembly seats. While the Congress won a spectacular 136 Assembly seats, BJP settled for 65 seats and others won 4 seats.
BRS party chief and Telangana CM KCR left in deep shock with JD(S) defeated in the polls. BRS had pinned high hopes on Kumaraswamy and the team. This is more than BRS ally and friend Kumaraswamy’s party losing polls. Karnataka verdict is the rise of the Congress party in South India. It may give a boost to the grand-old party once again that has been losing its sheen.
Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka Congress PCC chief DK Shivakumar, former CM Siddaramaiah, Congress party president Mallikarjun Kharge, and many others are hailing the humongous victory. Now, Congress’s immediate target is Telangana and KCR.
Revanth Reddy announced that the results of Karnataka will have a great impact across the country and bring back the lost glory of Congress. Whereas KTR responded to the Congress victory in Karnataka, he maintained that this outcome has no impact on Telangana. But political analysts and experts opine that this result could give a boost to the Congress party in the South considering that the BJP is out of power in southern states.
