Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) produced 67.2 lakh tonnes of coal in December 2022, which is 19% more than in December 2021, setting a new record for the month. By carrying an average of 2.18 lakh tonnes of coal per day throughout the month, the business has also broken another record.
In a review conference conducted on Tuesday, SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar noted that although 47 million cubic metres of overburden—a 24.47 percent increase—was removed in December of the current fiscal year, as opposed to 37.37 million cubic metres in December 2021.
According to him, the final 80 days of the current fiscal year are crucial for reaching the goal, thus the officials must ensure that the production and transportation of coal do not fall below 2.30 lakh tonnes per day. He said that if coal output was kept at this level, the business will be able to post the greatest profits and a turnover of more than Rs. 34,000 crore.
The conveyance of the greatest amount of coal output from the Manuguru, Kothagudem, Ramagundam area, and Adriala projects pleased him.
A number of executives, including Director (E&M) D Satyanarayana Rao, Director (Finance, Projects and Planning) N Balaram, and Director (Operations) S Chandrasekhar, attended the meeting.
