Troubled by her husband’s regular drinking and his drunken fights with her, a woman in Agra put up an act. The perplexed husband then had to sign an agreement that allows him to drink only once a week.
By India Today News Desk: This is one hell of a story of a woman who put up a spirited fight against her alcoholic husband, and finally, had her way.
Angered that her husband drank regularly and fought with her, the woman from Agra first tried to reason with him. Seeing that it didn’t cut ice, she did the unbelievable.
According to the woman, her husband used to return home in an inebriated state. Upon her objecting, the husband argued with her. Ths became a daily affair.
Fed up with the regular arguments with her drunk husband, the woman decided to act like a drunkard herself.
Seeing her, the husband was shocked and wondered how she hit the bottle. The wife hit out at her husband, in the same manner as he used to.
But the matter didn’t get resolved. The fights continued as the husband kept drinking regularly. The woman kept up her act too.
Seeing that his wife, who he thought had become an alcoholic like him, the husband decided to approach a family counselling centre.At the counselling centre, the couple accused each other of being alcoholic.
The husband showed a video to the counsellor, in which he is seen being chased away by his wife, who is acting like an alcoholic. The husband claimed his wife was an alcoholic and brought disrespect to the family with her behaviour.
The wife then revealed the actual story to the counsellor. She told the counsellor that she was forced to act like an alcoholic in a bid to stop her husband from gulping down booze regularly.
After listening to the both the parties, the counsellor made the couple get into a written agreement.
The husband gave a written undertaking in the presence of the counsellor that he would drink only once a week. He also promised he would never fight and argue with his wife.
