This is CM Reddy’s fourth meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi this year.
On Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Yeduguri Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy (YS Jagan Mohan Reddy) paid a visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital.
This is CM Reddy’s fourth meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi this year.
Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister was said to have discussed state development issues such as funding, the Polavaram Dam, and approval for new medical colleges during a meeting in August.
In an April meeting, Reddy briefed PM Modi on a variety of projects and issues, including the Polavaram project, the Kadapa steel plant, the rationality in the selection of eligible persons under the National Food Security Act, and Telangana arrears to the state, among others.
In January, the Chief Minister asked the Prime Minister to approve the revised cost estimates of Rs 55,657 crores at 2017-18 prices, which included a drinking water component of Rs 4,000 crores, as well as to release the State Government’s pending payments of Rs 2,100 crores already incurred for the Polavaram project.
The Polavaram project is a multi-purpose irrigation National project under construction on the Godavari River in the state’s West Godavari District and East Godavari District.
Earlier on Tuesday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan paid a visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence in New Delhi.
