Andhra Pradesh signs 286 MoUs worth Rs1.56 lakh crore on day 2 of Global Investors Summit

New investments to induce employment for2.10 lakh people in 13 sectors; Agriculture Department signs 15 MoUs worth Rs,160 cr investments

VISAKHAPATNAM: On the alternate and final day of Global Investors Summit 2023, the Andhra Pradesh government inked MoUs worth a crore taking the total investments to a crore. An aggregate of 378 MoUs was inked at the peak, which will produce job openings for 6.09 lakh people.

Reliance inked a scowl with an investment of 5 lakh crore, generating employment for one lakh people. HPCL inked a scowl with an investment of 14.3 crores, generating employment for,500 people. HCL Technologies inked two MoUs with an investment of 22 crores, generating employment for,000 people. Flipkart inked two MoUs with an investment of 20 crores, generating employment for 300 people.

An aggregate of 286 MoUs was inked on Saturday in further than 13 sectors, which will give employment to2.10 lakh people. Though the total worth of the MoUs was low, compared to the proffers that came up on Day One of the peak, the total investment proffers are more or less 13 lakh crore. Proceedings of Day 2 of the Civilians began with the exchange of MoUs between the investors and the AP government.

The Agriculture Department inked 15 MoUs worth,160 crores, creating employment for 280 people. The Beast Husbandry Department inked eight MoUs worth,020 crores, which will induce employment for,750 people. The loftiest number of 117 MoUs were inked in the tourism sector on the final day of the peak. The MoUs worth,096 crores will induce employment for further than,000 people.

The sectors that attracted huge investments include energy, Industries and commerce, IT and ITES, tourism, Agriculture, and Animal husbandry. Going by the sector-wise investment proffers, the Energy Department inked 42 MoUs.
