The Minister, who was in the district headquarters here on Tuesday, directed senior police officials to take steps to reduce ganja sales and consumption in the district. He stated that those cultivating and supplying ganja should face severe penalties. He requested that police charge those involved in the cultivation and sale of marijuana under the PD Act.
The Minister directed the Excise Department to work with the district police to monitor ganja supply in the district.
