K Laxman, a member of the BJP Parliamentary Board, claimed on Friday that although K Chandrasekhar Rao’s campaign anthem is “Ab Ki Baar, Kisan Sarkar,” his true purpose is “Ab Ki Baar, Dalal Sarkar” (a government of touts).
After Sankranti, he claimed, the BJP will hold Grama Sabhas (public gatherings) in every village under the banner “KCR Hatao, Telangana Bachao,” and in April, he would call for the publishing of a charge sheet against the BRS government’s “anti-farmers policies.”
Laxman said during a news conference held in this city that the struggles faced by Telangana farmers are “indescribable.” He urged that the BRS administration issue a white paper detailing the land taken from Dalits and other marginalised groups during the last eight years for irrigation, the pharmaceutical corridor, and the development of the Metro Rail. The State government, according to the BJP MP, has allegedly grabbed thousands of acres under the guise of “development.”
