Virat Kohli, a former India captain, continued his recent ODI form against Sri Lanka by scoring his 65th half-century of his career. Kohli carried on the strong performance of the Indian openers from the first ODI.

While competing in Guwahati, Virat Kohli achieved his 65th ODI half-century.

The Indian top 3 gave India a great starting point.

In his previous ODI encounter against Bangladesh, Kohli scored a century.

After scoring his 65th half century in One Day International cricket, former India captain Virat Kohli maintained his form. On Tuesday, January 10, in Guwahati, Kohli, who had made a century against Bangladesh in the final ODI of the previous series, followed it up with a quick half-century.

The squad had a strong foundation thanks to Kohli and the Indian openers, who scored many runs quickly in the first 30 over of the game. India appeared poised for a huge total in their innings after reaching 200 runs in the 27th over.

The opening partnership scored 143 runs in just 19 overs, and Kohli then continued in his trademark style. Against Sri Lanka,When Sri Lanka’s spinners entered the game in the middle innings, he moved the field with ease and hardly appeared to be in trouble.

At the time of writing, Kohli was aiming for his first century at home since 2019—a century he had previously scored against Australia in March 2019 as part of the World Cup’s preparations.

Before the World Cup 2023, which is scheduled to be held in India in the months of October and November, the Indian batters will try to be in shape. Since winning the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011, India has not advanced to the championship game and last claimed an ICC victory in 2003 under MS Dhoni.
