Tuesday’s explosion at Kamarhati, West Bengal, wounded four persons, two of them were children.
Tuesday’s explosion in West Bengal’s Kamarhati left at least four people injured, including two children. It’s believed that the explosion took place at a nearby petrol station.
After the event, firefighters flocked to the area as they could see black smoke rising from the store. People panicked and fled for safety as the region was enveloped in smoke.
The kid was released following treatment, while the other four victims were sent to the College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital in Kamarhati. One of the injured, Md. Arif, claimed the explosion happened as he was leaving school.
Vice Chairman of Kamarhati Municipality Tushar Chatterjee claimed he went straight to the hospital after learning about the event. The fire officer asserted that when he arrived to the location, he saw a few gas cylinders spread around.
According to a local lady, the explosion was caused by a bomb, not a cylinder. She says she observed a young person carrying a dark rucksack. With the other three, the young man argued. The young man then flung the bag, which is when there was a boom.
