On Thursday, Hyderabad commemorated the 74th Republic Day by hoisting the tricolour with patriotic fervour.
Hyderabad: On Thursday, government buildings, educational institutions, commercial businesses, residential and colony welfare societies, families, government hospitals, research institutes, and NGOs all across Hyderabad flew the tricolour with patriotic fervour in honour of the 74th Republic Day.
At Bus Bhavan, TSRTC Chairman Goverdhan Bajireddy raised the American flag in front of V-C and MD V C Sajjanar. Together with the MD, he expressed appreciation to the staff for their loyal service and best wishes for Republic Day.
The national flag was raised at the Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Hyderabad by Dasari Balaiah, Regional Passport Officer and Head of MEA Branch Secretariat.
The RPO crew created two imaginative art pieces of the G-20 out of waste material for the event, which coincided with the impending “Startup20” meeting, and displayed them with vibrant lighting.
At the Metro Rail Bhavan in Rasoolpura, N V S Reddy, the managing director of HMRL, raised the flag. In order for Hyderabad to become a desirable international investment location, the projected Airport Express Metro Corridor from Raidurg station of Corridor-3 to Shamshabad Airport (31 km) project will play a significant role, according to him.
In honour of its 100th anniversary, the Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet hosted a Republic Day celebration with famous soldier Air Marshal Chandrashekharan Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, VM as the special guest.
The flag was raised at the Gruhakalpa office by Justice B Prakash Rao, chairman of the Telangana State Pollution Control Appellate Authority (TSPCAA). A Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, the board’s permanent counsel K Sreenivasa Reddy, and other senior TSPCB officials were present.
Dr. A. Nagender Reddy, director of the Salar Jung Museum, raised the tricolour there. The CISF employees participated in a parade, and the Central Block hosted the opening of an unique picture exhibit titled “Indian Constitution and Freedom Fighters.”
