Hyderabad’s total house sales values increased by 130% over this time, from Rs 6,926 crore in H1 FY22 to Rs 15,958 crore in H1 FY23.
New Delhi: During the first half of the current fiscal year, the number of residential housing units sold in the top seven cities increased significantly. It’s interesting to note that overall house sales prices in Hyderabad increased by 130% during this time, from Rs 6,926 crore in H1 FY22 to Rs 15,958 crore in H1 FY23. In Hyderabad, residences were sold for close to 22,840 in the first half of FY23.
Homes worth Rs 1,55,833 crore were sold in the first half of FY23 in cities including the Mumbai metropolitan region (MMR), the National Capital Region (NCR), Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune, representing an increase of 11% annually. According to data by real estate consultancy company Anarock, the total value of the units sold during the same time of FY22 was close to Rs 71,295 crore.
In comparison to the almost 87,375 units sold during the same period last year, nearly 1,73,155 residences were sold between April and September 2022 in the top seven cities.
“In value terms, MMR led the list with house sales worth Rs 74,835 crore in H1 FY23, followed by NCR with sales of Rs 24,374 crore,” stated Anuj Puri, Chairman of Anarock Group. The value of all house transactions increased by 110% annually in MMR (to Rs 35,610 crore in H1 FY22), but by a staggering 174% in NCR.
Housing sales in NCR were Rs 8,896 crore in H1 FY22, according to Puri. In the current fiscal year’s April to September quarter, MMR had sales of close to 52,185 houses, while NCR saw sales of Almost 30,300 units were produced at that time. In terms of volume and price, MMR was in first place, followed by NCR and Pune.
