Hyderabad: Valentine’s Day is almost approaching, and just like every year, restaurants, flower shops, and gift shops are all buzzing with happy patrons.
Hyderabad will experience a distinctive celebration of queer love, giving the city’s week of love an inclusive and queer-friendly touch.
This Sunday, February 12, the city’s cultural centre Lamakaan on Road No. 1, Banjara Hills, will hold “Numaish-e-Satrangi Ishq,” an event organised by the Mobbera Foundation, a group that advocates for LGBTQ welfare in Hyderabad.
It draws inspiration from Numaish Masnut-e-Mulki, a renowned yearly consumer fair now taking place at Exhibition Grounds, Nampally.
Starting at 3:30 in the afternoon, the gathering will provide a secure setting for LGBT people to discuss their experiences with attachments, feelings, and love.
The event will feature performances by well-known LGBT artists from the area in addition to various performances and art displays that highlight the community’s feelings of love.
Anyone interested in performing at the event or sharing their experience can sign up via the link posted on the organization’s social media pages.
In partnership with UWH Hyderabad, Mobbera Foundation also provides a free upskilling programme for members of the local community. One may finish certificate programmes in full stack development, digital marketing, data analytics, and other fields using this.
