New Delhi: On Tuesday, some users in India were unable to send or receive messages on their cellphones using WhatsApp, a platform owned by Meta.
Many users in India have complained that they are unable to send messages to their contacts or groups using WhatsApp messenger on Android, iOS, or even WhatsApp online. Trackers state that several other nations have also reported the WhatsApp problem.
Many users have reported troubles using WhatsApp since 3:17 AM EDT (12:30 PM IST), according to DownDetector, a service that tracks outages and other issues.
According to Downdetector’s heat map, affected areas include important cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, among others, as well as Nagpur and Lucknow.
We are aware that some users are now experiencing issues with message transmission, and we are working to swiftly restore @WhatsApp for everyone. – a spokesperson for the Meta Company said.
The Downdetector website’s heat map shows that the majority of user-reported problem reports were made over the previous 24 hours.
Meanwhile, many went to Twitter to vent and see if anybody else was having the same problems they were.
The responses ranged from funny to hilarious.
