BioVeda Agro Ventures, India’s online farmer platform, has received an unspecified amount in seed funding from India Accelerator’s Angel Investors’ network – iAngels.
Founded in February 2022, the startup provides a wide range of Agri-services on a single digital platform for farmers to sell their Agri-produce, buy Agri-inputs, and obtain credit at lower interest rates. It intends to use the funds raised for business expansion and technology.
“We are extremely happy to have completed the seed funding round,” said Mahua Hazra, Co-founder and CEO of BioVeda Agro Ventures. With this, we are prepared to enter the realms of financial inclusion and rural ecommerce. We believe that our business model will be critical in facilitating farmers’ access to better credit.”
“With an increasing number of farmers looking to foster stable and continuous production, BioVeda’s will actually add moolah in the farmer’s pocket,” said Deepak Nagpal, Managing Partner and Business Head for iAgri (IA’s Agritech Vertical).
India Accelerator, founded in 2017 by Ashish Bhatia, Abhay Chawla, and Mona Singh, offers end-to-end services in technical, digital marketing, legal, financial, working space, meeting rooms, and super-fast and reliable wireless internet access.
