The CM of AP asked them to attend the GIS, which is set to take place in Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4
New Delhi: YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, has urged other countries to make investments in his state and contribute to its economic development.
On Tuesday, he urged the international diplomats in attendance to take part in the Global Investors Summit (GIS), which would take place in Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4. “I’m here to extend an invitation to visit Visakhapatnam, which will soon serve as our capital. In the upcoming months, I will also be relocating to Visakhapatnam, he continued.
The conference that day, at which ambassadors from many nations, business people, and representatives of the State and Central Governments took part, served as the GIS’s formal introduction.
When describing the resources and facilities available in the State for industrial expansion, Jagan noted that three of the eleven industrial corridors—from Bangalore to Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam to Chennai, and Bangalore to Bangalore—are shared by the State of Andhra Pradesh. With a GSDP of 11.43%, AP is the state with the highest economic growth in the nation and has held its top spot in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings for the third consecutive year, according to him.
He added that the State possesses 48 minerals and a long 974 km coastline, and that it has a single desk gateway that can process permits in 21 days. He emphasised the fact that the presence of numerous industrial clusters, including those in the fields of textile, cement, medicine, renewable energy, food, and automobiles, would present industrialists with numerous opportunities to invest in the State, expand their companies, and hire young people.
The Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh has good connectivity with six sea ports, six airports, and four more sea ports likely to be developed, making the State the gateway to South East Asia due to its advantageous location near inland waterways.
