Washington: From his hospital bed, Hollywood star Jeremy Renner posted a selfie thanking everyone for their “kind thoughts” after suffering a horrific injury in an accident on New Year’s Day.
Renner posted the image on Instagram along with the message, “Thank you everybody for your nice sentiments. I’m currently too messed up to type. But I send you all my love.
Wishes from a number of Hollywood celebrities, including Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Taika Watiti, and Orlando Bloom among others, were left in the social media post’s comments area.
Hemsworth’s message said, “Speedy recovery friend. I’m sending you my love! Pratt said to his ‘Avengers’ co-star, “Continued prayers your way brutha.”
Renner was hurt, according to Fox News, close to Mt. Rose Highway, which connects south Reno with Lake Tahoe, which is located on the Nevada-California border.
Late on Sunday, the Washoe County (Nevada) Sheriff’s Office reported that Renner required a helicopter transfer to a hospital for treatment.
According to a source who spoke to People magazine on Monday, Renner has “severe” injuries. According to Renner’s agent, she is “getting fantastic care.”
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with “Thor” (2011) and “The Avengers,” Renner is most recognised for his role as Hawkeye (2012).
The last role he had was in the Disney+ series “Hawkeye.” Renner received an Academy Award nomination for his roles in “The Hurt Locker” (2008) and “The Town” (2010).
