Farmers in Maina Curtorim have protested the local panchayat for giving the go-ahead to build 17 houses close to the village’s lake. The villagers urged that the panchayat reverse the licence given since they opposed the project. The sarpanch has finally agreed to rescind the NOC given for the project after much persuasion.
