According to a press release, Marut Drones, a city-based drone technology manufacturer, has received Type Certification approvals from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for their multi-utility agricultural drone AG 365.
The AG 365 drone was designed and developed for Indian conditions and can be used for a variety of purposes, providing the user with a higher Return on Investment (ROI). AG 365 has been extensively tested on over 1.5 lakh acres and has been optimised for agricultural use. Furthermore, AG 365 is conducting extensive research in collaboration with prestigious agriculture universities and research institutes to develop crop specific drone spraying SOPs.
The made-in-India kisan drone – AG 365 was designed specifically for agricultural purposes to reduce crop loss, reduce agrochemical usage, improve yield, and increase farmer profits.
“Marut Drones has been taking steps in line with its vision of advancing agriculture,” said Marut Drones Founder Prem Kumar Vislawath. Manual spraying in agriculture has had a significant negative impact on operators’ health. Furthermore, the mindless repetition of these sprays is inhumane, exposing the operator to chemicals and potentially leading to cancer. A drone entrepreneur who uses this drone can earn between Rs.40,000 and Rs.90,000.”
“We created the first multi-purpose drone,” Marut Drones Cofounder Suraj Peddi said. Our AG 365 is similar to a tractor in that it can do more than just spray by changing attachments. This will give better ROI to user and the drone can be used across year for different purposes in agriculture”.
