The actress who has just taken on the job of a talk show presenter is also stirring up controversy. Only recently did his insulting treatment of SV Ranga Rao and Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, two of his father’s late coworkers, draw backlash on social media. Now, he described an earlier event and made statements against a nurse on his talk show “Unstoppable With NBK 2,” which did not sit well with nurses in the Telugu States and online users. Pawan Kalyan, the head of the Jana Sena Party, was also a guest on the show.
The nurses requested an apology from the actor for his sexist comment.
Balakrishna replied by posting regrets on his Facebook page in an effort to contain the damage. He said he had the utmost regard for nurses and that his statements had been “misinterpreted.” He continued by saying that he had firsthand experience with their work at the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital as well as firsthand knowledge of the effort and sacrifice they made during the COVID outbreak. He held their efforts in the greatest regard.
