Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to ‘Jnana Yogi’ Siddeshwar Swamiji of Jnanayogashrama, who died on January 2.
Siddeshwar Swamiji, 82, died at his ashram of age-related ailments.
Devotees will be able to pay their last respects to his mortal remains until Tuesday at 4.30 p.m. According to Siddeshwar Swamiji’s wishes, his final rites will be performed on the ashram grounds.
“Paramapujya Sri Siddheshwara Swami Ji will be remembered for his outstanding service to society,” PM Modi said. He worked tirelessly for the betterment of others and was well-known for his academic zeal. My thoughts are with his countless devotees during this difficult time. “Shanti Om.
Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister for Coal, Mining, and Parliamentary Affairs, stated that he paid a visit to Siddeshwar Swamiji two days ago. “I prayed to God for his healing. His simplicity and noble speeches, which reached crores of people, have earned the swamiji a permanent place in the hearts of devotees. “The greatest respect one can pay the swamiji is to walk in his footsteps,” he said.
“We have lost a proponent of truth, a saint, and a renouncer,” said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. We have no physical form. We will carry out his final rites and procession with dignity and respect.”
In Karnataka and Maharashtra, Siddeshwar Swamiji had millions of followers. The Central government had denied him the honour of a Padma Shri. He had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi in which he humbly explained why he was not interested in the awards and recognition and thanked him for choosing to honour him. The swamiji was known as the walking god and had written numerous books.
