New Delhi: The director of the Delhi & District Cricket Association, Shyam Sharma, announced that a team from the DDCA will be at the Max Hospital in Dehradun to monitor the health of star Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant, who was involved in a terrible accident the day before, and that, if necessary, the batter-wicketkeeper would be flown to Delhi for his plastic surgery.
On his way back from Delhi to Roorkee on Friday, Pant had a catastrophic accident when his automobile hit a divider on the Narsan boundary of Roorkee close to Hammadpur Jhal.
Sharma stated that due to Pant’s extensive injuries from the vehicle accident, he may need to be evacuated to the national capital for more surgery. The 25-year-old was the only passenger in the vehicle and had injuries to his forehead, knee, and back.
“A team of Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) is travelling to Max Hospital Dehradun to check his health,” Sharma said in a statement to ANI. “If necessary, we’ll relocate him to Delhi, and chances are strong that we’ll airlift him there for reconstructive surgery.”
According to pictures taken on the scene, Pant was driving the car when it crashed and suffered severe burns.
Pant has been admitted to the Max Hospital in Dehradun, according to Haridwar SP (Rural) Swapan Kishore’s statement on Friday.
The cricketer’s luxurious car collided with a road barrier on the Delhi-Dehradun route, caught fire, and just avoided being killed. He reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel.
According to SK Singh, the Haridwar (Rural) Police Superintendent “He was visiting his family in Roorkee. A kilometre ahead of Narsan, heading toward Roorkee, he fell asleep behind the wheel, causing the disaster.”
“Orthopedic and plastic surgeons are monitoring cricket player Rishabh Pant. His state is steady. After his examination, a thorough medical bulletin will be made public. We’ll then proceed with the next measures, “Dr. Ashish Yagnik of the Max Hospital in Dehradun stated.
When the collision occurred on the Delhi-Dehradun route, Pant was the only passenger in the vehicle.
Pictures taken at the scene show the automobile to have been severely burned.
Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, has expressed his wishes for the cricketer’s quick recovery and promised that his state will do everything in its power to assist him, including providing an air ambulance if necessary.
“Cricketer Rishabh Pant was involved in an accident today near Roorkee. He is being sent to Dehradun for more medical care. We’ll take care of all the medical facilities. We hope for his quick recovery, said Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday while visiting Kolkata.
In a statement released on Friday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India stated that Pant had two cuts on his forehead, a ligament rupture in his right knee, as well as injuries to his right wrist, ankle, and toe and abrasions on his back. Rishabh has now been sent to Max Hospital in Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to determine the extent of his injuries and determine his next steps. Rishabh’s status is stable according to the BCCI statement provided to the media, course of therapy.”
The BCCI is in continual communication with Pant’s family, and the medical staff is in close contact with the medical professionals who are now caring for the southpaw, claims the statement.
The Board promised to make sure Pant gets the greatest medical attention and all the assistance he needs to recover from this painful time.
In 33 Test matches for India, the wicket-keeper batsman amassed 2,271 runs at an average of 43.67. His biggest Test tonne was 159 not out, and he has five to his name. In addition, Pant has 119 catches and 14 stumpings to his credit.
He has totaled 865 runs in ODIs over the course of 30 games matches at 34.60 on average, five half-centuries, and a tonne at 106.65 strike rate. In ODIs, Pant has recorded 26 catches and one stumping behind the stumps.
