Dehradun: On Wednesday, the renowned Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant would be flown to Mumbai for additional medical attention, according to Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) director Shyam Sharma.
“I have spoken to his mother. In order to provide him with further care for his torn ligament, we will move him to Mumbai, DDCA Director Shyam Sharma told ANI.
Following an automobile accident on December 30, Rishabh Pant is now receiving treatment at a private hospital in Dehradun.
Ashok Kumar, the director general of police for Uttarakhand, stated on Tuesday that police are keeping records of all the names of bystanders, such as Haryana Roadways bus driver Sushil Kumar and conductor Paramjeet Nain, who assisted cricketer Rishabh Pant during the accident in order to honour them.
Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister, has already issued a statement about it,” the DGP said to ANI.
On Sunday, Dhami said that his administration will honour the driver and owner of Haryana Roadways, who helped star cricketer Rishabh Pant survive, on Republic Day.
“Uttarakhand government will honour the driver and the operator of Haryana Roadways, who saved the life of cricketer Rishabh Pant on January 26,” Dhami said in a statement to ANI.
“The driver and operator sacrificed their lives to save Rishabh Pant’s life,” he continued. They witnessed the Cricketer’s automobile roll a few times in front of them (after hitting a divider and going up in flames on the Delhi-Dehradun highway). The employees of Haryana Roadways shown their tenacity by handling the emergency.
Additionally, CM Dhami stated that The 25-year-old, who was gravely hurt in a car accident on his way to surprise his mother on December 30 at Roorkee, will receive full assistance from the state government for his treatment.
Pant is said to have been driving the automobile alone when the accident occurred while dozing off. Pant, who narrowly avoided death on December 30, had burns and other injuries that required reconstructive surgery. If necessary, he might have been transported to Delhi. His automobile struck the barrier on the Narsan boundary of Roorkee, close to Hammadpur Jhal, when he was driving back from Delhi to Roorkee.
The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) released a statement in collaboration with the Max Hospital Dehradun where The cricketer, who has been hospitalised, sustained two wounds to his forehead and tore ligaments in his right knee, ankle, toe, and back.
On Saturday, DDCA director Shyam Sharma expressed worries about people thronging the hospital to see batsman Rishabh Pant, who is receiving treatment.
“Those who plan to meet Pant should avoid doing so since there is a risk of infection. In order to protect Pant from infection, there should be no VIP movements and visitors should stay away from him, Sharma informed ANI over the phone.
According to the BCCI, Pant has two wounds on his forehead, a torn ligament in his right knee, as well as injuries to his right wrist, ankle, and toe sustaining back abrasion injuries.
