During a hysterectomy procedure on a 51-year-old woman, doctors from a private hospital in Mylavaram in the NTR district of Andhra Pradesh allegedly left a one-meter-long cloth in her tummy.
Vijayawada: A 51-year-old lady had a hysterectomy eight months ago, and during the procedure, doctors at a private hospital in Mylavaram in the NTR district of Andhra Pradesh allegedly put a one-meter-long fabric in the woman’s stomach.
Information indicates that after removing her uterus, physicians at Anu Hospitals left the cloth in her stomach. After a few weeks, the woman’s stomach began to hurt terribly. Her family members repeatedly had a CT scan done for her at the hospital, but it was ineffective.
Finally, they transported her to a private hospital in Vijayawada, where following an ultrasound, the medical staff discovered a piece of fabric within her stomach and surgically removed it. When they discovered a metre-long fabric in her tummy, they were startled.
The patient, Machilipatnam native Krividi Siva Parvathi, was horrified by the medical malpractice.
