In a new attack on his political adversary, Telugu Desam president and former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu claimed, “The entire state is now split between its five crore people and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.”
The YSR Congress administration, according to Naidu, has failed miserably on all fronts and has plunged Andhra Pradesh into a state of backwardness worse than Bihar.
In an emergency-like situation, Naidu told the reporters in Kuppam on Thursday, “the Jagan administration is resorting to rioting and bringing spurious cases against the opposition parties out of a concern the public response is turning towards us.”
He said that the police force ought to support the defence of democracy. Even judges have been the targets of false accusations. Law enforcement officials that don’t uphold the rule of law are effectively criminals in uniform. The errant police officers would be the targets of private lawsuits, and Naidu threatened that their families would also suffer because of fabricated charges.
The opposition leader said that resentment against the Jagan administration was rising quickly inside the ruling YSRC, especially among its MLAs. They are openly criticising the administration. On the other side, there is a huge turnout for the TD public meetings. The chief minister is becoming increasingly irritated because of this, Naidu claimed.
Naidu accused state minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy of extorting money from granite quarries and intimidating the owners with threats of severe punishments as he continued his rant against the politician.
They were exhorted by Naidu not to give in to such threats and to refrain from making any payments.
The TD leader said that the populace would no longer support Jagan’s administration. He intends to win each of the 175 seats by claiming to work for the benefit of the populace, despite the fact that he is also India’s richest chief minister. He is wealthier than all of the chief ministers put together. Through corruption, he has acquired lakhs of crores, according to Naidu.
In an earlier exchange with party members, Naidu said that Jagan’s propensity of bringing legal action against TD leaders. He told his party members to tackle them head-on and put in a lot of effort to help the party seize control. Naidu thought there was a plot afoot to terrorise TD activists in Kuppam.
In the meantime, the police filed non-bailable complaints against a number of TD supporters in relation to the unrest on Wednesday during Naidu’s visit to the Kuppam assembly constituency. There are currently 50 reserved party members. A minimum of three FIRs were submitted to the Rallabuduguru police department.
