Karimnagar: On Monday, a Class 10 student was discovered hanged in her Jammikunta residence. She is thought to have killed herself by hanging herself after becoming offended that her parents had reprimanded her for receiving worse grades.
Police said that Arelli Jagruthi, 16, hung herself from the fan after the rest of the family had left the house.
When her family members returned, they discovered her dead. According to reports, Jagruthi, a Class 10 student in a private school in the Jammikunta town, took the drastic action after receiving criticism from her parents for performing poorly in recent pre-final exams.
