Bengaluru: Popular south Indian actor Kishore has clarified that the suspension of his Twitter account had nothing to do with his controversial post about the ‘Kantara’ film.

Meanwhile, Kishore claimed that his account had been hacked. “I usually post my thoughts on Facebook and Instagram. I rarely express myself on Twitter. Other social media users informed me about the suspension of the Twitter handle.
“When I checked, I discovered that the account had been suspended on December 20. This is the work of hackers. I have no idea what hackers have posted on my handle.
“There is no connection between my post on the ‘Kantara’ movie and the suspension of the account,” he reiterated.
Kishore is also an activist who expresses his views openly.
He had backed popular actress Sai Pallavi’s statement equating Kashmir Pandit killings and murders to Muslim killings and murders. He questioned the media’s stance on the actress, as well as whether it was a crime for actors/actresses to have social opinions.
The actor, who played a police officer opposite Rishab Shetty in the superhit film ‘Kantara,’ stated that there should be faith but not superstition.
He stated that, like all good movies, ‘Kantara’ transcends caste, religion, and language barriers, uniting people. It raises awareness by using entertainment. If this cinema is used to promote superstition and divide people by instilling communal feelings, the big victory will be humanity’s biggest defeat, he claims.
Kishore, who has made a name for himself in the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada film industries, has also been vocal about farmer issues.
