According to Union health ministry data updated on Monday, India has recorded 173 new coronavirus infections, while active cases have decreased to 2,670. The total number of Covid cases is 4.46 crore (4,46,78,822), and the death toll is 5,30,707, with two fatalities in the last 24 hours — one reconciled by Kerala and one reported by Uttarakhand, according to data updated at 8 a.m.
According to the ministry’s website, active cases account for 0.01 percent of total infections, while the national recovery rate has risen to 98.80 percent.
According to the ministry, the active Covid caseload has decreased by 36 cases in the last 24 hours. The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,41,45, 445, with a case fatality rate of 1.19 percent, according to the report.
According to the ministry’s website, 220.10 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far.
On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 tally surpassed 20 lakh, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16.
It surpassed 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, and will surpass one crore on December 19, 2020.
