Rakul Preet Singh stars as the quality control head in a condom factory in ‘Chhatriwali,’ a slice-of-life drama set in Haryana. Though she is initially shy and embarrassed about her job, she quickly realises the importance of safe sex and then takes it upon herself to de-stigmatize the conversation about sex education.
Without being too preachy, the film sets the tone and delivers the message with humour and sensitivity, all while keeping the narrative entertaining and family friendly.
Ronnie Screwvala produced the film, which was directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar. ‘Chhatriwali,’ starring Rakul Preet Singh and Sumeet Vyas, aims to send a strong social message about the importance of male contraception and safe sex. The film will be available on ZEE5 beginning January 20.
