HYDERABAD: Not all pupils are able to take advantage of the holiday break or ring in the new year with joy: CBSE Class 9 students’ final examinations start on January 2. The tests were held in February of the previous year.
People who had already purchased their tickets for their vacations are likewise disappointed since they must either cancel them or bring books with them on their “study-vacation.”
Students in the Class IX SSC, however, do not face these issues because their examinations will only take place in April.
Although this is the only time of year they get to spend time with their family since their parents take a vacation from work, CBSE Class IX students claimed they were unable to enjoy the winter break.
“We feel anxious. Along with studying for our examinations, we must also organise our farewell to our seniors. Not every part has been finished. One of the students remarked, “We needed more time to get ready.
In order to offer students more time to prepare for their Class 10 Board examinations, CBSE school principals think that it is vital to hold tests now. The start of the Class 10 curriculum is anticipated for January 16–17.
“Many CBSE schools held the examinations for Class 9 pupils in February of last year. Classes for Class 10 began on February 18 and went on until the end of April. In the second week of June, the schools resumed classes following the summer holiday. They will have a summer break from April 22 to June 10 this year. This gives the pupils at least 25 more days of instruction, which is very beneficial, according to Sangeeta Raghuram, head of a city-based CBSE school.
“This year’s holidays are over for us. We were allocated a fraction of 365 days, but we only had 153 working days, so we had to expedite it. The terror of the Covid is now back. As a result, we want to complete final examinations as soon as possible, according to a CBSE school principal.
