A better option than completely obscuring your profile is incognito mode. The app still allows users to “Like” and “Nope,” but only those they’ve “Liked” will see them in their suggestions.
New Delhi: On Tuesday, the dating app Tinder released a number of new features, such as talk in Incognito Mode, Block Profile, Long Press Reporting, and more.
A better option than completely obscuring your profile is incognito mode. The app still allows users to “Like” and “Nope,” but only those they’ve “Liked” will see them in their suggestions.
Updates to the “Does This Bother You?” and “Are You Sure?” features were also made by the corporation, providing its users—particularly those in the 18–25 age group—more control over how they connect with others.
According to Rory Kozoll, SVP of Product Integrity at Tinder, “every touchpoint in Tinder has been built with safety in mind, and we’ve heard from members that they aren’t always aware of what safety features currently exist, how to use them, or how to approach staying safe when they take a conversation off the app.”
We continuously collaborate with knowledgeable partners to spread messages about safety and dating, both on and off the app, in an effort to bridge this gap, Kozoll continued.
For Tinder+, Gold, and Paid users only, Incognito Mode is a premium feature.
The business said that “Block Profile” will debut on Android first and then come to iOS during the first quarter of 2023.
Members on Tinder have the choice of who they want to view by using the “Block Profile” feature.
Members may now block suggested profiles before a match is made so they won’t appear again.
It’s a simple method to avoid running into your employer or an ex. Along with Block Contacts and blocking after filing a report, this new function is available on Tinder now.
By tapping and holding objectionable remarks, users may report them by long pressing, which starts the reporting process right in the chat window.
In collaboration with the non-profit NO MORE, Tinder is also launching the “Green Flags” campaign and the “Healthy Dating Guide” during the busiest relationships season to encourage safe and healthy dating.
According to research, the majority of people between the ages of 18 and 25 are concerned about their mental and physical safety when dating. Because of this, we want to provide these younger daters practical advice on how to interact with people they’ve met online, according to Pamela Zaballa, CEO of NO MORE.
