To defeat Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Kalyan vowed to ensure that the opposition vote in AP is not split in the 2024 elections, implying a political realignment.
Amaravati: Pawan Kalyan, the Jana Sena Party president, accused the YSR Congress Party government in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday of preventing opposition parties from meeting the people.
In an interview with the media in Hyderabad after meeting former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu at the latter’s residence, he claimed that the AP government was depriving the people of their democratic rights and invoking British Raj laws. “They only issued GO No. 1 to prevent the opposition from meeting. They operate under two sets of rules. They declared a ban on plastic flexies, but they were discovered all over the place during Jagan’s birthday celebrations. The YCP is aware that it will lose the upcoming elections and is thus harassing the opposition parties by bringing up issues, conspiring, and presenting false cases.
Chandrababu Naidu, who also spoke, claimed that the deaths in Kandukuru and Guntur were the result of a YSRCP conspiracy. “Can the cops deny it? The AP regime is extremely undemocratic. “In Visakhapatnam, they harassed Pawan Kalyan by imposing curbs,” he recalled.
