In the Indian markets today, the prices of gold and silver displayed a range of tendencies. On Tuesday, January 10, gold prices increased on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), but silver prices were steady.
Gold futures with a maturity date of February 3, 2023 were trading at Rs 55,950 per 10 grammes, registering a little increase of Rs 30 or 0.05%.
In contrast, silver futures with a March 3, 2023, maturity were trading at Rs 68,694 per kg after falling by Rs 354, or 0.51 percent.
Notably, when the market closed on January 9, the cost of gold was Rs. 55,864 for a gramme and the cost of silver was Rs. 68,900 for a kilogramme.
