A basic daily routine can prevent overstuffing your skin with unnecessary items like toners or heaps of cosmetics that might irritate the sensitive skin in winter, helping you feel better and appear younger. Here are some skincare tips for the winter that you should keep in mind.

As the days grow shorter and the temperature drops, our skin suffers because the chilly, dry air causes the skin to feel tight, dry, and unpleasant. But don’t worry; we’ve got you covered. You need to keep switching up your skincare routine since the needs of your skin alter with the seasons in order to keep it healthy.

Your skin may suffer a lot from the strong winter winds, from dryness and irritation to serious conditions like eczema and psoriasis. When treating dry winter skin, it’s preferable to keep a routine as straightforward and basic as possible.

A basic daily routine can prevent overstuffing your skin with unnecessary items like toners or heaps of cosmetics that might irritate the sensitive skin in winter, helping you feel better and appear younger. Dr. Amit Madan, an aesthetic physician at Madan’s Skin and Laser Centre in Lucknow, issued the following warning in an interview with HT Lifestyle: “Everyday cosmetics and even natural chemicals might cause your skin to burn and itch, or become dry and red. In addition to surface cleansers and disinfectants, these items also include hand and dish soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, bubble bath, and body wash. All commercially available soaps, face washes, and lotions lack a skin-friendly pH. Metals (particularly nickel), cigarette smoke, soaps and household cleaners, scents, and certain materials, such as wool, are examples of common irritants and polyester, as well as antibacterial ointments like neomycin and bacitracin formaldehyde, which is included in several vaccinations, glues, adhesives, and home disinfectants. An eczema cause might be emotional stress.
