Goans paid their homage to prominent Konkani author and seasoned independence fighter Nagesh Karmali. His last rituals were performed in the St. Inez Crematorium. People shared their memories of Karmali and their connections to the legendary author and freedom warrior.
Goa’s T.B. Cunha was a pioneering personality, a father figure, a poet, an intellectual, a cornerstone of Goan culture, and a liberation fighter. The Goans recalled the times they spent with the seasoned independence warrior. At age 90, Karmali died away.
