A sequel to the animated movie “Zootopia” has also been confirmed, according to US media outlet Variety.

Disney has revealed the details of the “Toy Story” and “Frozen” sequels.

At the company’s earnings call for the year-end 2022 quarter on Wednesday, Disney CEO Bob Iger made a number of big announcements for fans in response to the news of layoffs and losses.

Iger announced the existence of two upcoming sequels to popular series, “Toy Story” and “Frozen.” A sequel to the animated movie “Zootopia” has also been confirmed, according to US media outlet Variety.

The “Toy Story” series consists of four theatrical installments and the 2022 film “Lightyear.” ‘Toy Story 3’ and ‘Toy Story 4’ both made more than USD 1 billion at the worldwide box office, despite the later film’s failure.

In the meanwhile, the 2013 release of the original “Frozen” movie was a worldwide box office smash, and the 2019 release of the sequel, “Frozen II,” brought in more than USD 1.4 billion. In addition to the movies, the series has produced a Broadway musical, a Disney on Ice show, as well as several short films, television specials, and books.

Iger also said that a “Avatar” Experience at Disneyland in Anaheim will bring Pandora to the West Coast, according to Variety.

James Cameron’s works are being celebrated at a part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando called “Pandora – The World of Avatar,” which include the rides “Avatar Flight of Passage” and “Na’vi River Journey.”

According to Variety, “Avatar: The Way of Water” overtook “Titanic” on February 5 to rank as the third-most profitable foreign film in history. In the upcoming years, Cameron plans to release three additional “Avatar” movies.
