Among the injured who received first aid at the Visakhapatnam Steel General Hospital and later transferred to a private hospital in the city were contract workers Bangaraiah, Appalaraju, Srinu, Potaiah, and Suribabu, senior manager Jayakumar, technician Eswar Nayak, chargeman Panda Sahu, and technician Eswar Nayak.
Leaders of the labor movement urged an inquiry into the event and improved care for the hurt employees.
